For you were once darkness,
but now you are light in the Lord. (Ephesians 5: 8)
He has delivered us from the power of darkness
and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. (Colossians 1: 13-14)
For you were like sheep going astray,
but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls. (1 Peter 2: 25)
You were by nature children of wrath, just as the others, (Ephesians 2: 3)
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1: 12-13)
Having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust, (2 Peter 1: 4)
having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever (1 Peter 1: 23)
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world,
but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. (1 Corinthians 2: 12)
And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2: 1-6)
And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works,
yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight. (Colossians 1: 21)
For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son,
much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. (Romans 5: 10)
You were slaves of sin,
And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. (Romans 6: 17-18)
For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another.
But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (Titus 3: 3-7)
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians 6: 9-11)
That at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. (Ephesians 2: 12)
