Healing and Deliverance
By a sister in Bradford
I’d like to share testimony of a wonderful healing and deliverance that I experienced 22nd October 2021. I began to make the tea and discovered that the lighter that I use to light the cooker was empty, so I filled it with the gas container. My husband normally does it, and I didn’t realise that I hadn’t done it correctly; it’s very dangerous not to treat these things seriously. I went to light the ring on the cooker, and the gas exploded! From it came a fire ball that singed all my hair at the front, which I managed to trim, but the fire ball went up my hand and onto my wrist and burnt it severely. The pain was excruciating.
I put my hand immediately into cold water which I happened to have in a bowl in the sink, and prayed! I put my good hand on the burnt hand and wrist, and I prayed “Please Lord, don’t let this develop into a serious injury.” I really pleaded with The Lord, and later on my husband prayed the same thing. Practically, I put my hand in cold water, and ran cold water over it or a long time. Then I took some frozen food, and for six hours I put that on the area where it was burnt. After six hours had passed by, it was still scarlet red, but the burning sensation had stopped. I haven’t had a blister or anything, no hospital treatment, just a few light marks, but no serious injury hallelujah! Thank You Father God for healing my hand, for hearing our prayer!
Praises In The Night
By a sister from Lancashire
Just a few years after being married, my husband and I experienced a sadness not uncommon to many when we had a miscarriage. I vividly remember the moment I discovered that there was a little life growing inside me, it was a joy indescribable and a moment I treasure. The little life however was not to burst forth, and after just ten weeks my husband and I were grieving in the middle of the night over the sudden sad loss.
By God’s grace we are both believers in The Lord Jesus, and we knew in the midst of that sorrow that there was something we needed to do. With one accord, we lifted our shaken hearts and teary eyes and began to praise the One Who is the giver of life. We sat in bed and throughout the night sang and exalted the One we love above all else.
I am so glad that the Holy Spirit moved us to praise and give thanks that night. Those praises which are ALWAYS due, not only glorified The Lord in the midst of loss, but it acted as a shield of defence from the waves of grief that may have overcome us. Despite the pain, because of praise, I believe we were protected from being overwhelmed emotionally, and we were lifted from the natural to the supernatural, where true life in Christ is everlasting, and reigns with hope and a joy not of this world.
